A very long Monday

Well, here it is almost 11PM and we are finally calming down for the night. It was a fun-filled day for the kids (and adults!). It looks like my blackberry is allowing me limited connectivity through the laptop, so I am able to do a very simple blog and picture upload.

The blogs will be short, if I am able to keep them up at all. However, there is a picture link on the left and I will try and post pictures as soon as I get access to my laptop during the day. There should be close to 200 pictures from today.

The trip to Skyranch was uneventful, but we sure hit the ground running. A quick visit to our cabin (without unpacking) and off to lunch at noon. After lunch, we split off into our groups to work on some "challenges". Our team did a great job and it was fun watching them figure things out. They were quick to pick up on the idea of teamwork!

After the challenges, we had some free time. As you can tell by the pictures, it was a fun-filled free time! Soccer, basketball, shakes and malts, bounce fun, etc.. Some of the kids that had the shakes before the bounce fun had to make a quick run to the nurse :-)

We followed the free time with a very nice dinner, a short break (30 minutes) in our cabin and then off for some evening excitement. We had our very own treasure hunt in the dark. Our cabin, #16, did a great job and, in fact, we brought home the very sought after prize: The "rock"!

Okay, take a very long and tiring day with lots of snacks (as in sugar), add a very fun treasure hunt and then stick them in a room with one adult and tell them to go to bed and guess what you have? Yep, some very wild kids! Lucky for me that I brought a movie that I was able to play in my laptop for them. I am typing this as the last one finally gone to sleep..ahh.. quite at last :-)

Tomorrow should be an exciting day - If I can wake them up on time!
